About Our Programs

Adult Basic Education

ELL Classes help non-English speaking adults develop English language skills, introduce basic U.S. cultural skills, provide a multicultural group support system, and expand awareness of community resources.

The GED program helps participants prepare to pass the GED and focuses on language, writing, math, science and social studies. These classes also increase the literacy skills of adult learners, provide a multicultural support system and expand awareness of community resources.

Civics, Numeracy, and Citizenship are specialized classes offered to further enhance our students' knowledge base and their understanding of American culture.

High School and College Education Resources

The Neighborhood House Tutoring Program offers one-on-one tutoring for 6th-12th grade students. As a member of the Tutoring Partnership for Academic Excellence, Neighborhood House collaborates with schools and community programs in St. Paul to create the best possible tutoring experience.

The College Access Program offers tutoring, practice testing, application assistance, career advice, and much more to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college.
